Spare Players

We have the following "spare" players; captains may choose any player from the list during the regular round-robin; in the playoff rounds, the spare must be rated at or below the rating of the player being replaced.

Round-robin spare usage rules:

• Teams with 10 players or less for a game are expected to pick up spare player(s) for that game to reach a roster of at least 11 players.
• Spares can only be "booked" more than 1 game in advance if a team will have fewer than 11 players for that game.
• Spares will normally be allocated to the team most shorthanded.
• Contact Mike Peterson, mikep@rubberchickencult.ca, 647-393-4661 to book a spare once the captain has confirmed they are available to play on the date(s) needed.
• The team captain must contact the spare with the game details (team and diamond).

Playoff round spare usage rules:

• Teams with 10 players or less for a game are required to pick up spare player(s) for that game to reach a roster of at least 11 players.
• The spare player used must not be rated higher than the player they are replacing.
• Spare usage in the playoffs requires agreement of the Commissioner and/or the non-involved captains.
• Spares can only be "booked" more than 1 game in advance if a team will have fewer than 11 players for that game.
• Spares will normally be allocated to the team most shorthanded.

Spare Player Registration

You can register for the waitlist once the League is full by mail or by phone; you can NOT get on the waitlist by e-mail.

If you become a full-time player at some point during the season, you must go to Fairfield Seniors Centre to pay your fee, or give them your credit card info (no phone or e-mail credit card info is permitted).
