The Assistant Commissioner position is a learning curve for the Commissioner's position, although the succession must be confirmed by a vote of the Board of Directors, where other candidates could be considered.

Job Description

1. Assists Commissioner in tasks as needed.
2. Attends Committee meetings in the absence of the Commissioner.
3. Chairs Board of Director Meetings in the absence of the Commissioner.
4. Represents the ESSA at all functions in the absence of the Commissioner.
