ESSA Job Description - Equipment Manager

Manages all equipment used by the Association, including bases and base bags, bats and bat holders, team sweaters, first aid / medical kits, etc.

Position Description

Operational Responsibilities
  1. Creates and maintains an inventory of all current equipment and replaces necessary equipment as needed within the approved budget.
  2. Organize the equipment at the park storage unit, set up the team and diamond equipment prior to each game and check all equipment post games before returning to the storage unit.
  3. Inspect and order all necessary first aid material.
  4. Works closely with Sponsor Liaison in coordinating the ordering of Team sweaters, selecting team colours and appropriate sponsor logos.
  5. Obtain off-season storage area for all Association equipment
  6. Recruit and support individuals with performing the above tasks.
Financial Responsibilities
  1. Creates and annual operating Equipment Budget for the Association Treasurer as part of the Association's Annual Operating Budget.
  2. Provides a 3-year forecast of major equipment purchases (team sweaters, pitching screens, bases, bats, AED (defibrillator), etc.).
  3. Supply a quote and obtain a cheque from Association Treasurer for the payment of all major equipment purchases. Provide copies of paid invoices to Association Treasurer.
  4. Maintain detailed files of all purchases, suppliers, and activity related to Association equipment.
