North York at the OBAs

The North York Blues were in Windsor for the OBAs,
Soon to be over were the lazy summer days.
With back to school nipping at our heals,
We were ready for battle and to show we've got wheels.

We were down early but it did not matter,
Tevin's up first, he's our lead-off batter.
The North York Blues were not about to concede,
We had David & Ryan to amaze us with speed.

Justin had 3rd covered - tagging 'em out at every turn,
Opponents learned not to test Ellis' arm or they'd burn.
Brandon was in between bases and had them guessing,
Would "Crazy 8s" retreat or keep on pressing?

Michael's double plays sure stung like a nasty bite,
Jason R's knuckle ball had 'em shaking with fright.
"Come on" and "giddy up" were heard across the field,
Nothing got them as pumped as Ryan's anticipated steal.

Funny hops were no problem, Tevin knocked 'em down,
Kris' timely RBI made the Tigers growl & frown.
An inside-the-park home run you don't see everyday,
But, Jason H made it memorable in every way.

This team's determination would not waiver,
With Gareth on the mound, ready to deliver.
We can't forget Austin's well-timed, daring slide,
Can a trip to Cooperstown be far behind?

There's depth on this team like no other I've seen,
Their dedication and commitment is a coaches' dream.
The season's over and that's something I hate,
But, I look forward to seeing you all in 2008.
