An excellent year (finished with an 8-2 record, both losses by 1 run) / playoffs: in the quarter-finals, we lost the first game to "AIM", then came back to win the next 2. In the semi-finals, we played "Mackenzie" who had not lost a game all season; we won the first one 5-4, they blew us out in the second game, and the deciding game is recapped below. In the final, we played "State Street" who had only lost to "Mackenzie" in the regular season so far; we won the games 21-14 and 9-8 for the sweep.

Some game highlights from the 3'rd game of the semi-final against Mackenzie for those who missed it, or just want to relive it:

A slow start - 0-0 after 2 innings.

We scored 4 in the top of the 3'rd from the bottom/top of the order. They got 2 back, and would have been more except for a great relay on a single to right center from Angie to Mike N to Mary to cut down a run at the plate. So it was 4-2 after 3.

We scored 1 on the 4'th, but they got 3 in their half; 5-5 after 4.

We scored 3 in the 5'th from the top of the order guys and the bottom of the order gals; they got 1 back; 8-6 after 5.

We traded runs in the 6'th to make it 9-7.

We went 3 up, 3 down in the top of the 7'th, and they scored 2 in the bottom to even the score with 2 out, and the winning run on 3'rd. Their batter hit a fairly high fly ball to right center no mans land, and I think a lot of us were thinking F*** (I know I was); however, where no man was, Angie was, and made a behind her head season saving catch. PLAY OF THE YEAR!

We got the bases loaded in the 8'th, but couldn't score a run; but they went 3 up, 3 down.

We got some people on base in the 9'th, but couldn't score; they went 4 up, 3 down.

In the 10'th, everybody batted except Darrell, and we scored a huge 6 to dig an enormous hole for them to crawl out of. They managed to score their runner who started on second, and that was it - a line out to "Scott" who throws a bullet to "Oi" at first that just misses the runners head for the double play sends Mackenzie to the bar to cry in their beer.
