A bit of team "history", quoting from Jack Seabrook:

"A last minute entry composed of 4 players from Mississauga: Bob George, Fred Sirrs, David Cowtan and Don Yaschyshyn plus others from elsewhere in Ontario including Ottawa & Hamilton."

"This patch work team organized by Frank Masson of Ottawa, had never played together before. They impoved with every game, got into the semi-final to beat London (the 2007 Champion) and then into the final against the odds-on favourite Windsor powerhouse."

"In the best 2 out of 3 games in the final, each team won a game. So it came down to the last game to determine the winner. In a see-saw contest each team got 15 points, then 16 points before our team scored 17 and then 18 on a blocked spike to win the match. What a terrific contest."

"The caliber of volleyball was outstanding, with spike after spike, return after return and players flying all over the floor. Its amazing to see how the level of Senior Volleyball gets better every year."

"So all you seniors - once you pass age 55, you can still strap on the old shoes and still play competitive volleyball."

Frank sent "thanks to Jack and others in the Mississauga District and environs for connecting players and supplying uniforms for our otherwise ragtag group. We were dressed well."

"Also thanks to Gail Prior who helped us out immensely. Without her assistance there was no way we would have made the December 31 deadline and she was so helpful to us when we got to Brockville."

"At our age the richness of friendships and comraderie, even of rivals, is so much appreciated and valued. Seniors Rock!!!"
