The Etobicoke 55+ Slo-Pitch League started play in 1994. The League was founded by Anne Colhoun, under the auspices of the City of Toronto Department of Parks and Recreation; she is also an Honorary League Member.
These players have been in the League since inception (the "20 Year Club"):
Bert Chalmers, Clare Jones, John Hughson, Lorne Christie, Ralph Currie.
In 2015, these players were inducted into the "Club": Jim Jennings, Vic Leonard.

For this coming season, the League will play at Centennial Park (#1 (N), #2 (SW), #3 (SE)), and at Diamond Beach (#5).
The League has permits for the Centennial Park diamonds, and Diamond Beach (#5).
G1: ReMax 17 vs Abacus 28 (on CP#1).
G2: Westowne Mazda 20 vs RenPark 14 (on CP#3).
NOTE: In G1 and G2, the first team listed is the home team.
G3: Abacus 12 vs Westowne Mazda 19 on CP#1.
NOTE: The home team is the higher ranked team in the playoff standings.
These former players were remembered: Bert Chalmers, Bill Elwood, John Hagerman, Howard Hall, Ted McConvey, John Ofsanka, George Turriff. Their names were added to the memorial plaque, with family members in attendance.
Donuts and coffee were available before the ceremony and games, and salad, pasta, sausages and chicken fingers were enjoyed at The Grille afterwards (along with a few beverages).

Executive/General Meeting Minutes:
A pizza and wings lunch will be provided after the meeting; cost $5. Please bring exact amount to make it quicker and easier for those collecting at the door.

2015 honoree: Howard Hall ("Howie"), a long-time player and member of the League Executive, including Commissioner.
2016 honoree: Glen Shields, a long-time player, captain, member of the League Executive and umpire.
2017 honorees: Mike Forestell, a long-time player, captain and
member of the League Executive, including Commissioner, instituted the
player packages.
Paul Booth, a long-time player, captain and member of the League
Executive, including Commissioner, handled all sponsorship for many years.
Bob Goddard, a long-time player, captain and member of the League
Executive, including Commissioner, instituted the playoff tie-breaker format.
Herm Dyck, a long-time player, captain and member of the League
Executive, including Treasurer and Commissioner, arranged Banquets for
many years.
Anne Colhoun, founder of the League in 1994, long time supporter
of 55+ sports in Etobicoke while working for City of Toronto Parks and
Recreation and when retired.
